ARC Meetings

Due to the lack of volunteers for the ARC the Board of Directors will be taking over the ARC function.  The ARC meetings will be held on the same night as the Board meetings.

Who is responsible for snow plowing ?

To answer this question will depend on which street you live on. Below is a breakdown of the streets in the community and who is responsible for the clean up.

St. Paul, Greenhill Crossing, Little John, Jockey Club, Red House and Susquehanna are all Public Streets and are maintained and plowed by the State of Virginia. VDOT 1-800-367-ROAD (7623)

The 4 pipestems on Rooster, Gap (S/F) Conley and the end of Red House are Privately owned and are plowed by the individual homeowners that live on them.

Manahoac, Colonel Wood, Rogue Forest, Hullfish, Sunapple, Sauvage and Gap (T/H) are HOA maintained by Community Landscape Services and paid for by the townhome owners.

Gillis pipestems (new sections) are currently plowed by Kettler Homes.

Snow Shoveling
Keeping our sidewalks free of ice and snow is the neighborly thing to do.  For your own benefit and to help your neighbors, people pushing strollers or using wheelchairs, and the many people in GHC who walk, please do your part.  Home owners please clear sidewalks after the end of a snowfall within 24 hours.

When you shovel snow and clear ice
* Shovel the sidewalks on all sides of your property, the full width of the sidewalk down to the bare pavement.
* Remove all ice from sidewalks. After the sidewalk is cleared, sprinkling a little sand can help prevent slipping on frosty sidewalks.
* Pile snow into your yard or common areas.

The  Board of Directors contracts and oversees both Community Landscape Services as well as Armstrong Management Services.
